Special ordering is one way we make sure your pets get exactly what they need — but because we’re not Amazon or Chewy, it works a little differently. This guide will help you understand how our special ordering process works and how to plan ahead so you always get the best results.
Big-box stores and online giants might be fast, but they can be impersonal and overwhelming. At Paleo Pet Goods, we don’t just sell products — we research, curate, and stand behind everything on our shelves, and our website. That means you can shop with confidence knowing your pets are getting the best.
Because we order through specialty suppliers and sometimes face supply chain challenges, special orders require a bit of patience and planning. Think of us as your neighborhood partner: we’ll get it for you, but it may take a little extra time.
Minimum Lead Time: Please allow at least 14 days for all special orders.
Weekly Cut-Off Day: We place weekly supplier orders on a set schedule. Orders placed after the cut-off may roll into the next week’s shipment.
Exceptions: Some brands — such as Carna4 — come from an out-of-state supplier we only order from once per month. Plan extra time if you’re ordering these items.
How to Order:
Preferred: Place your order online through our website so we can see exactly what’s in your cart.
By phone: We’ll confirm by sending you a product link from our website to make sure we’re ordering the exact item you want.
Payment: A valid credit card must be on file. For accuracy and efficiency, we encourage payment through our website.
Typical Turnaround: 5–7 business days if the supplier has stock.
Extended Timeline: 14+ days if items are experiencing shortages.
Possible Delays:

Brand-specific quirks (like Carna4’s monthly orders)
Communication: We’ll notify you as soon as your order is ready for pickup, or if you’ve chosen delivery, we’ll confirm delivery timing.
Single Items: You may order one bag or can of any item we carry.
Case Requirements: Some items (like canned or wet food) require us to order by the case. We may ask you to commit to at least half a case if it’s not something we normally stock.
Minimum Quantities: Some products, like frozen bone broths, require us to order a minimum of four.
Holding Policy:
Paid orders may be held up to 30 days with communication.
If we don’t hear from you and the order is not picked up within 14 days, it may be considered forfeited and donated to local rescue (no refunds).
